Potatoes soup

INGREDIENTS / SUROVINY
2 liter of broth / 2 litry vývaru
4 potatoes / 4 brambory
2 carrots / 2 mrkve
1 parsley / 1 petržel
1/2 of celery / 1/2 celeru
2 onions /2 cibule
2 cloves of garlic / 2 stroužky česneku
fistful of sliced mushrooms / hrst plátků hub
2 spoons of marjoram / 2 lžíce majoránky
salt / sůl
10 dkg of butter / 10 dkg másla
plain flour / hladká mouka

METHOD / POSTUP
Heat up 2 liter of broth or water.
Přiveďte k varu 2 litry vývaru nebo vody. 
In extra pot melt down butter.
V jiném hrnci rozehřejte máslo.
Add 3 spoons of flour. Attention! Stir properly!!!
Přidejte 3 lžíce mouky. Pozor! Důkladně míchejte!!!
The roux let cool down.
Jíšku nechte vychladnout.
Peel and dice: potatoes, carrots, parsley, celery, onions.
Oloupejte a nakrájejte na kostičky: brambory, mrkev, petržel, celer, cibuli.
When the broth is boiling add: mushrooms, potatoes, carrot, parsley, celery, onion and boil 15 minutes.
Když se vývar vaří, přidejte: houby, brambory, mrkev, petrže, celer, cibuli a vařte 15 minut.
After 15 minutes add: crushed garlic, 2 spoons of marjoram, salt and boil another 5 minutes.
Po 15 minutách přidejte: rozmačkaný česnek, 2 lžíce majoránky, sůl a vařte dalších 5 minut.
Finally, thicken the soup with roux.
Nakonec zahustěte polévku jíškou.

OCHUTNEJTE!!!
And now you can serve.
A nyní můžete podávat.

  1. Our class really enjoyed making the potato soup. Most of us liked the taste of it. There were lots of empty cups afterwards!
